Pronel Personnel is seeking a Senior Fleet Manager to oversee a 350-vehicle fleet in Richards Bay, KwaZulu-Natal. The role focuses on efficient operation, safety, and cost control, with responsibilities spanning maintenance scheduling, performance monitoring, and regulatory compliance.

You will lead fleet safety policies, coordinate with service providers, manage fuel programs, and train drivers, while delivering regular management reports.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in fleet management or logistics operations.
• Strong understanding of vehicle maintenance, scheduling, and regulatory compliance.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Proficient with fleet management software and standard office apps.
• Strong communication with drivers, mechanics, and management.
• Problem-solving and proactive approach to ops challenges.
• Knowledge of fuel management and cost control.
• Attention to detail in record-keeping.
• Valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations of the vehicle fleet, including maintenance scheduling.
• Monitor performance, fuel use, and utilization to identify improvements.
• Ensure compliance with regulations, licensing, and safety standards.
• Maintain records of maintenance, repairs, insurance, and registration.
• Coordinate with external service providers for repairs and maintenance.
• Manage fuel card programs and monitor expenses.
• Develop and enforce fleet safety policies and procedures.
• Provide training to drivers on operation, safety, and policies.
• Handle accident reporting and claims processes.
• Generate regular reports on fleet status, costs, and performance for management.
