Our client, a prominent player in the retail space, is seeking a strategic and detail-oriented Finance Manager to oversee financial operations across multiple stores. Someone who’s just as comfortable interpreting income statements as they are leading stock takes, mentoring admin teams, and ensuring compliance across multiple locations.

This role requires a strong analytical mindset, leadership capabilities, and a deep understanding of financial reporting, compliance, and operational controls.

Your key responsibilities:
  • Provide financial insight and reporting to the Regional Manager
  • Lead budgeting, variance analysis, and KPI tracking
  • Oversee reconciliations, journals, and receipts
  • Ensure compliance with audit standards and statutory regulations
  • Manage stock take planning, asset verification, and CAPEX alignment
  • Drive financial process improvements and digitisation
  • Coach and mentor finance/admin staff and deliver training to non-finance personnel
  • Collaborate with procurement and IT for system and supplier enhancements
  • Act as AFIS agent and maintain professional relationships across departments
Our required expertise:
  • BCom degree (essential); further studies advantageous
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint
  • Experience with Sage X3, Sage People, and SharePoint
  • Strong knowledge of IFRS, VAT rules, and BCEA
  • Proven ability to manage budgets, income statements, GL, cashbook, and reconciliations
  • Experience in senior and junior admin functions (stock takes, invoicing, debtor follow-ups, etc.)

Reward: R400K - R500K
