• Master's degree in Economics, Public Policy, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in economic development, strategic consulting, or public sector advisory roles.
• Demonstrated experience in regional planning, economic strategy development, or program management.
• Strong understanding of economic drivers, investment attraction, and job creation strategies.
• Excellent analytical, research, and problem-solving skills.
• Proven ability to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders at various levels.
• Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
• Experience working within the Northern Cape or similar regions is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of local governance structures and development frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Conduct analyses of the regional economic landscape to identify sectors, opportunities, and challenges.
• Develop and refine regional economic development strategies and investment frameworks.
• Facilitate collaboration and build partnerships among government, private sector, and community groups.
• Manage projects focused on economic development, infrastructure, and job creation.
• Advise regional leadership on policy development, business environment enhancements, and investment attraction.
• Identify opportunities for sector-specific growth and diversification.
• Develop metrics and reporting to track progress and impact.
• Prepare presentations, reports, and proposals for diverse audiences.
• Stay informed about national and provincial policies impacting regional development.
