Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Regional Distribution Supervisor to oversee the Polokwane distribution hub in Limpopo. You will lead daily warehouse activities, manage a team, and drive safe, efficient, and accurate operations to meet demanding targets.

The role requires 4+ years in warehouse operations with at least 2 in supervision, strong leadership, and solid understanding of inventory control and safety. WMS experience is desirable and relocation to Polokwane may be needed.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in warehouse operations or distribution, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
• Proven ability to manage and motivate a team effectively.
• Good understanding of warehouse processes, inventory control, and safety procedures.
• Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) is desirable.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours to meet operational demands.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily warehouse activities, including receiving, stocking, order picking, packing, and shipping.
• Lead, train, and motivate warehouse staff to achieve performance targets and maintain productivity.
• Ensure efficient utilization of warehouse space and resources.
• Implement and enforce safety procedures and regulations to maintain a safe working environment.
• Monitor inventory levels and participate in cycle counts to ensure accuracy.
• Oversee proper handling and storage of various product types.
• Resolve operational issues and customer service inquiries related to distribution.
• Collaborate with transportation teams to ensure timely dispatch of goods.
• Conduct regular team meetings to communicate goals and updates.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within warehouse operations.
