Job summary

Western Cape Government's Department of Social Development seeks a Head of Corporate Services to oversee regional corporate services across multiple regions (Metro North, Metro South, Eden Karoo, Cape Winelands). The role focuses on financial management, supply chain leadership, asset protection, and performance management within the Subdirectorate.

The position is permanent, salary level 11, with remuneration between R932,292 and R1,098,195 per annum.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of and working experience with legislation, regulatory frameworks, policies and best practices affecting the line functions.
• Information systems that aid line function and project management.
• Public finance, human resources and discourse management processes.

Responsibilities

• Oversee financial management (Budgeting and Reporting Financial Administration, Revenue Management, expenditure and Account) processes in the region.
• Lead Supply Chain Management (demand, acquisition, contract, logistics, and disposal management) and safeguarding of regional assets.
• Direct the Management of Logistical Services within the region and plan and manage the Subdirectorate's overall performance.
• People management of the Subdirectorate and financial management for the Subdirectorate.
