Job summary

IFF is seeking a Sub Regional Controller based in South Africa or Budapest to oversee financial integrity, close, reporting, and compliance across several countries. The role supports audits, internal controls, and process improvements within a Global Business Services model.

The position requires 5+ years in accounting, exposure to multinational environments, and ERP SAP experience. You will collaborate with tax, treasury, and reporting teams while mentoring junior staff and ensuring statutory

Qualifications

• 5+ years of accounting experience including financial close and reporting.
• Experience in multinational environments and multi-GAAP reporting.
• Exposure to audit, tax, treasury or finance operations is an advantage.
• Experience working with ERP systems (e.g., SAP).

Responsibilities

• Support monthly/quarterly/year-end close ensuring US GAAP and local GAAP compliance.
• Review journal entries, reconciliations, and financial analyses.
• Assist in statutory financial statements and management reporting.
• Coordinate with Global Business Services for timely delivery.
• Prepare/review tax filings (VAT, corporate tax) where required.
• Coordinate internal and external audits and respond to requests.
• Maintain internal controls and proper documentation.
• Provide financial insights to stakeholders and leadership.
• Identify and drive process improvements and automation opportunities.
• Collaborate with Tax, Treasury, Technical Accounting, Reporting teams.
• Mentor junior accounting staff and support country subsidiaries.
