Job summary

PayJoy, Inc. is seeking a senior Controller in Johannesburg to lead the local accounting function with a focus on Accounts Payable and cash flow insights.

You will partner with operations and treasury to optimize NetSuite-driven AP processes and ensure accurate month-end closes, while managing vendor data and internal controls. The role requires 12–15 years in public accounting or AP leadership, with strong leadership, strategic thinking, and excellent communication skills.

Qualifications

• 12–15 years of experience in public accounting or high-volume AP management.
• Strong leadership and ability to guide a team toward ambitious goals.

• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to influence stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Operations to implement NetSuite automations in Merchant AP.
• Collaborate across treasury, finance, and other departments.
• Manage vendor information and onboarding in NetSuite.
• Communicate with merchants to resolve PO issues in NetSuite.
• Prepare batches for payment in NetSuite and assist with weekly cash flows.
• Reconcile AP/AR ledgers and support month-end close.
