Job summary

National Asphalt is seeking a dynamic Sales Representative to join our team at the Cliffdale Asphalt Plant in KwaZulu-Natal. The successful candidate will develop new business opportunities, grow market share, and maintain strong customer relationships within the KwaZulu-Natal region.

You will identify opportunities, follow up on leads, present products, and meet sales targets while traveling within KwaZulu-Natal as required.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years' sales experience, preferably in construction, asphalt, aggregates, or related industries.
• Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
• Valid Code 08 driver''s licence and willingness to travel within KwaZulu-Natal.
• General understanding of Asphalt would be advantageous but not essential

Responsibilities

• Identify new business opportunities and close sales deals
• Develop meaningful relationships with customers to encourage trust and loyalty
• Follow up on cold and warm leads to further the sales process
• Understand and demonstrate the product or service to the customer
• Meet sales goals as set by management
• Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships
• Conduct market research to stay on top of trends and competitor activities
• Create and process customer quotations timeously
• Process purchase orders for materials sourced externally
