Job summary

Pump and Abrasion Technologies (PABT) is a global leader in the design, manufacturing, and assembly of heavy‑duty slurry pumps. We are recruiting for a Receiving Intern for our Centurion office to handle PO vs invoice checks, verify deliveries, and update inventory while coordinating with procurement.

The role targets young professionals and provides exposure to NCR processes. Ideal candidates will have Matric, a related certificate or diploma (advantageous), and be within 18–25 years old.

Qualifications

• Matric/Grade 12 completed.
• Finance-related/supply chain or logistics certificate/diploma advantageous.
• Age between 18 and 25 years.

Responsibilities

• Comparing purchase orders with invoices and packaging lists.
• Inspecting deliveries to ensure they match order and invoice criteria.
• Receiving and signing for deliveries.
• Coordinate the unloading deliveries from trucks.
• Processing returns for incorrect or unsatisfactory items.
• Organizing and storing received items in appropriate areas.
• Updating inventory with received items.
• Communicating with procurement regarding delays, short supply, or problems.
• Inspect contents to ensure they are undamaged and good for use
• Contact supplier or shipper if a non-conformance is identified (NCR Process)
• Assume responsibility for returning unsatisfactory shipments or receiving replacements (NCR Process)
• Label deliveries and allocate them to their designated place
• Maintaining records of orders, delivery details, etc.
• Send all updated information to the relevant departments once delivery process is complete.
• Update and send GRN report daily to relevant parties
