Placements24 is seeking a meticulous Real Estate Compliance Officer to join our team in Soweto. You will develop and monitor compliance programs, conduct audits, and guide staff on regulatory matters to ensure ethical and legal operations within the Gauteng province.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Law or related field and at least 4 years in regulatory roles. A proactive risk-management mindset and excellent communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Law, Business Administration, or related field.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in compliance, legal, or regulatory roles within real estate.
• Knowledge of South African real estate laws, regulations and ethical standards.
• Strong understanding of risk management principles and audit procedures.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement and maintain compliance programs and policies for real estate transactions.
• Monitor changes in local, provincial and national real estate laws and regulations.
• Conduct regular internal audits of real estate practices to ensure compliance.
• Investigate potential breaches, prepare reports and recommend actions.
• Provide training and guidance to agents and staff on compliance requirements.
• Manage relationships with regulatory bodies and external counsel as needed.
