Placements24 in South Africa is seeking a passionate Mechanical Engineer to join the R&D team in Paarl. You will explore new technologies, develop concepts, and create prototypes for future products through hands-on engineering.

The role emphasizes innovation, collaboration with electrical engineers and materials scientists, and the use of CAD and rapid prototyping to turn ideas into tangible prototypes. A master's degree in Mechanical Engineering with an R&D focus and 3–5 years of experience

Competenze

Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering with an R&D focus.
3–5 years of experience in mechanical design, prototyping, and testing.
Proficiency with CAD software and basic simulation tools.
Strong understanding of core mechanical engineering principles.
Experience with rapid prototyping techniques (e.g., 3D printing).

Mansioni

Conduct research into emerging mechanical technologies and assess their applicability to future product development.
Design, build, and test proof-of-concept prototypes and experimental setups.
