This hybrid role balances on-site Port Elizabeth collaboration with remote work flexibility. The ideal candidate will be data-driven, with a deep understanding of quality methodologies, including Lean and Six Sigma.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
• 4+ years in industrial engineering focused on quality systems and process improvement.
• Experience with quality management systems (QMS) and quality tools (FMEA, SPC, RCA).
• Strong understanding of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and manage quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001).
• Conduct regular process audits to ensure compliance with quality standards and identify areas for improvement.
• Analyze quality data, including defect rates, customer complaints, and non-conformances, to identify root causes.
• Lead and facilitate cross-functional teams in implementing corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
• Design and implement process improvement projects aimed at enhancing product quality and reducing waste.
• Develop and maintain quality control procedures and documentation.
• Train staff on quality standards, procedures, and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Monitor key quality performance indicators (KPIs) and report on trends and progress.
• Collaborate with R&D and production teams to ensure quality is built into new product development.
• Stay updated on industry quality standards and best practices.
