Job summary

Boardroom Appointments is seeking a Quality Manager to lead the development, implementation and ongoing maintenance of the TQMS aligned with ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 18001. The role oversees inspection from raw materials to finished products, ensuring quality conformance and rapid deviation reporting.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in quality management within engineering or manufacturing, with Six Sigma training considered an advantage and experience auditing internal and external

Qualifications

• Matric is required.
• Degree in Quality/Industrial/Mechanical engineering preferred.
• Six Sigma training would be advantageous.
• Minimum 5 years quality management experience in engineering/manufacturing.
• Quality auditing of internal and external suppliers.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain the total quality management system (TQMS) in line with SABS ISO 9001, SABS ISO 14001 and SABS ISO 18001.
• Direct inspection activity from raw materials to finished product to ensure conformance to standards and report deviations quickly and accurately.
• Formulate and maintain policies and procedures for quality management and compliance.

Job description

• Responsible for the development, implementation and maintenance of the total quality management system (TQMS) in line with SABS ISO 9001, SABS ISO 14001 and SABS ISO 18001.
• Formulates and maintains policy and procedures in this regard, ensuring that all products and services meet quality standards as per ISO.
• Directs the inspection activity, in manufacturing, in the testing of materials from the raw state through to the finished product to ensure conformity to the prescribed quality standards and ensures that any deviations are reported quickly and accurately.
• Matric
• Degree in Quality / Industrial Engineering /Mechanical
• Six Sigma Training (Would be an advantage)
• At least 5 years Quality Management experience in a similar environment (Engineering / Manufacturing)
