Job summary

SCallaghan Recruitment is seeking an experienced Quality Engineer for a well-established manufacturing company based in East London, Eastern Cape, South Africa. The role focuses on maintaining consistent production standards and driving quality improvements across operations.

You will investigate quality concerns, implement corrective actions, and collaborate with production and engineering teams to reduce defects and waste while maintaining thorough documentation and records.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years quality engineering experience within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of quality systems and production processes.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with corrective action and continuous improvement.
• Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills.
• Good computer literacy.

Responsibilities

• Support and maintain quality standards across manufacturing operations.
• Investigate quality concerns and implement corrective actions.
• Monitor production processes and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Support root-cause analysis and problem-solving activities.
• Assist with reducing defects, waste and recurring quality issues.
• Work closely with production, engineering and technical teams.
• Maintain relevant quality records and documentation.
