A leading steel company in Rosslyn is seeking a Quality Controller to manage the claims lifecycle while ensuring quality standards. The role requires extensive knowledge of the steel-making process, along with ISO standards. Ideal candidates are organized, confident, and possess strong problem-solving abilities. Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and manage the entire claims process from initiation through to resolution.
  • Liaise with internal teams, external suppliers, and customers to investigate quality issues.
  • Ensure compliance with ISO and other quality management systems.
  • Monitor and contribute to improvements in the steel-making process.
  • Identify root causes and implement corrective actions swiftly.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and manage the entire claims process from initiation through to resolution
  • Liaise effectively with internal teams, external suppliers, and customers to investigate and close out quality or product-related issues
  • Track, report, and resolve all open claims with clear timelines and documentation
  • Ensure full compliance with ISO and other quality management systems
  • Prepare detailed reports and presentations using Excel and PowerPoint for internal use and stakeholder review
  • Monitor and contribute to improvements in the steel-making process, especially regarding flat products
  • Identify root causes and implement corrective actions swiftly
Requirements
  • Proven experience in the steel industry, ideally with flat products
  • Solid understanding of the steel-making process and product quality standards
  • Hands-on experience with ISO standards and quality systems
  • Strong interpersonal skills for cross-functional collaboration
