Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a detail-oriented Quality Control Analyst to join our Mahikeng-based team. You will perform analytical testing on raw materials, in-process samples, and finished goods to verify regulatory compliance and safety.

The role requires strong laboratory skills, meticulous attention to detail, and a thorough understanding of quality control principles in a regulated environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or a related field.
• 1–3 years of experience in a Quality Control laboratory, preferably in the pharmaceutical or chemical industry.
• Proficiency with common laboratory equipment and analytical techniques.
• Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) is essential.
• Strong understanding of data integrity and documentation requirements.
• Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform analytical testing using techniques such as spectrophotometry, titration, and physical property analysis.
• Conduct stability studies and analyze results to determine product shelf life.
• Document all testing procedures, results, and deviations in accordance with GMP guidelines.
• Operate and maintain laboratory equipment, ensuring proper calibration and functionality.
• Investigate out-of-specification (OOS) results and assist in root cause analysis.
• Prepare samples for external laboratory testing when required.
