Job summary

Placements24 in Upington, Northern Cape, is seeking a Quality Control Analyst to join the pharmaceutical lab team. You will perform chemical tests on raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products to ensure adherence to specifications and regulatory standards.

The role requires a degree in chemistry-related field and 1–2 years in a regulated lab, with hands-on experience in HPLC, GC, UV-Vis and GLP/GMP practices, and the ability to work both independently and within a team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Pharmacy or a related field.
• 1–2 years in a Quality Control laboratory, preferably pharma.
• Experience with analytical methods (HPLC, GC, wet chemistry).
• Knowledge of GMP and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine analytical testing on raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products.
• Prepare reagents, standards and calibrations for tests.
• Operate and maintain QC instruments and ensure calibration records.
• Document results in notebooks and LIMS with accuracy.
• Analyze data, report deviations and support investigations.
• Contribute to method validation and GLP/GMP compliance.
