About the Role

Our client is looking for a precise and dedicated Quality Control Analyst to join their laboratory team in Queenstown. In this role, you will perform a variety of analytical tests on raw materials, in-process samples, and finished pharmaceutical products to ensure they meet established quality standards. You will work within a controlled laboratory environment, utilizing advanced analytical instrumentation and adhering to strict testing protocols. Your meticulous work will be essential in guaranteeing the safety and efficacy of the medicines produced.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct analytical testing of raw materials, intermediates, and finished products using approved methods (e.g., HPLC, GC, UV-Vis).
• Calibrate and maintain laboratory equipment to ensure accurate and reliable results.
• Document all testing procedures and results accurately in laboratory notebooks and LIMS.
• Investigate out-of-specification (OOS) results and participate in root cause analysis.
• Prepare standard solutions and reagents required for testing.
• Ensure compliance with Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) and company SOPs.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Pharmacy, or a related science field.
• 1-2 years of experience in a Quality Control laboratory, preferably within the pharmaceutical industry.
• Proficiency with common analytical instruments such as HPLC and GC.
• Familiarity with pharmacopoeial methods (e.g., USP, BP) and GMP principles.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow complex procedures.
• Good record-keeping and data management skills.
