Responsibilities

• Read drawings, layouts and build machines and jigs.
• Perform boilermaker/welder tasks, including TIG, MIG and CO2 welding, on mild and stainless steel.

Job description

Job Overview

Boilermaker/Welder Artisan with Red Seal Certificate required for location near Roodepoort. The successful candidate will work at the company premises in Johannesburg North near Roodepoort and will report to the Production Manager.

Employment Terms

Both positions are for a 3‑month probation period which may lead to a permanent position after review. Candidates must start as soon as possible, have a valid driver’s licence, a reliable vehicle, and a matric/Grade 12 qualification.

Eligibility & Experience

• Bilingual speaking, including Afrikaans
• Minimum five years of experience as a boilermaker or welder
• Solid experience in TIG, MIG, or CO2 welding on mild and stainless steel
• Experience reading drawings, layouts and building machines and jigs
• Qualifying Red Seal Boilermaker or Welder (SA qualification preferred from Olifantsfontein)
• Self‑motivated, independent artisan and team player

Other Requirements

• Willingness to work overtime and on weekends with overtime pay
• Non‑smoker and non‑drinker preferred
• Practical test will be required and is non‑negotiable

Compensation

Monthly salary offering R100 to R120 per hour plus overtime pay. Salary package depends on qualifications, skills and years of experience.
