Advius (Pty) Ltd, an Ermelo-based plant services client, seeks a qualified Boilermaker to fabricate, repair and maintain steel structures on site and in the workshop. The role focuses on keeping plant and equipment safe, with minimal downtime and compliance with safety rules.

You will read drawings, perform MIG/arc/TIG welds, and carry out repairs on heavy plant components, with occasional shutdown work and on-site service required. A Red Seal is essential and a valid license is required.

Competenze

• Grade 12 / Matric or N2 equivalent.
• Red Seal Trade Test Certificate as a Boilermaker (non-negotiable).
• Minimum 3–5 years post-qualification experience.
• Proven welding and fabrication experience in a heavy industrial, mining or plant environment.
• Able to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Valid driver’s licence (Code B/EB/C1) and own transport.
• Able to pass a pre-employment medical and site access requirements.

Mansioni

• Read and interpret engineering drawings, sketches and specifications to plan and set out work.
• Mark off, cut, shape, bend and fabricate plate, sections and structural steel to specification.
• Weld using MIG, arc (SMAW) and TIG/flux-core processes, including structural and repair welding.
• Carry out repairs and modifications on mining equipment components.
• Operate workshop equipment safely (rollers, guillotines, press brakes, grinders, gas cutting).
• Perform on-site repairs and breakdown work as required, including shutdowns.
• Check own work for accuracy, quality and fit-up before handover.
• Complete job cards, material usage records and safety documentation accurately.
