Job summary

Pedros Chicken is seeking an Industrial Engineer to drive efficiency across our quick-service restaurant network. You will map workflows, model labour and capacity, conduct time-and-motion studies, and lead improvement projects that cut cycle times and costs while boosting quality and safety.

Ideal candidates have 2–3 years in industrial engineering, expertise in Lean Six Sigma, strong data skills (Excel, Power BI) and a willingness to travel across South Africa.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering is required with 2–3 years in industrial engineering within high-volume operations.
• Lean Six Sigma principles and time-and-motion studies are essential.
• Experience leading cross-functional improvement projects with stakeholders.
• Proficiency in data analysis, reporting and systemised SOPs.

Responsibilities

• Map and analyse workflows to identify bottlenecks and waste.
• Develop labour standards and capacity plans to optimise deployment.
• Conduct time-and-motion studies and set productivity benchmarks.
• Lead continuous-improvement projects from feasibility to implementation.
• Design layouts and equipment configurations for efficiency and speed.
• Collect and report operational data to drive decisions.
• Collaborate with store teams to roll out new standards and train staff.
