Job summary

Eq Plus in Gauteng, South Africa, is seeking an experienced QA professional to lead testing activities across projects. You will coordinate testing efforts, design test scenarios, and ensure release readiness through meticulous quality reporting.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in software QA, strong SDLC/STLC knowledge, and excellent English communication; willingness to work afterhours during releases is required.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 / Matric with relevant QA training or practical experience.
• Minimum 5 years commercial software testing experience, including leading or coordinating testing activities.
• Strong knowledge of SDLC/STLC and practical experience in functional, regression, integration and system testing.
• Experience translating requirements into test scenarios, cases and data, and managing test plans, execution, defects and quality reporting.
• Ability to estimate effort, prioritise work, manage dependencies, monitor progress and assess release readiness.
• Proven ability to coordinate QA resources and collaborate with Developers, Project Managers, Business Analysts and stakeholders.
• Willingness to do afterhours support duties.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
• Willingness to work occasional extended hours during releases or critical implementations.
