Placements24 is seeking a meticulous Chemical Engineer to lead QA in their Paarl facility. You will develop validation protocols, investigate deviations, and drive CAPAs to uphold regulatory compliance and product excellence.

The ideal candidate holds a bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering with 3–5 years in QA/QC within chemical or pharmaceutical manufacturing, and you bring strong QMS/ISO/GMP knowledge, plus proficiency in SPC, data analysis, and precise documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering required.
• 3–5 years QA/QC experience in chemical/pharma manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of QMS, ISO standards or GMP.
• Proficient in SPC and data analysis software.
• Excellent documentation and reporting skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute validation protocols for new and existing chemical processes and equipment.
• Investigate product and process deviations, identify root causes, and implement CAPAs.
• Perform data analysis on production batches to ensure consistency and identify trends.
• Review and approve batch records and quality control documentation.
• Collaborate with production and R&D teams to resolve quality-related issues.
• Participate in internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with quality standards.
