Job summary

Open Box Software is seeking a QA Analyst to join a permanent, intelligent team focused on solving real problems and sharing knowledge. You will review requirements, create test artefacts, and validate complex applications against client specifications.

You should have 2–3 years QA experience, strong problem-solving and communication skills, and be comfortable working with stakeholders. Salesforce and T-SQL knowledge are a plus.

QA ANALYST

Open Box Software is an internationally focused consulting company that specialises in business and software consulting services. We have a highly capable team who care about doing good work, solving real problems, and enjoying the process along the way.

We are looking for a QA Analyst to join us on a permanent basis. The right person will be wanting to work within an intelligent, motivated, self-driven team with low egos, good communication skills and an effective problem-solving approach. You would also be very conscious of the importance of sharing knowledge and building other team members in the process. Our team must be able to tune into the needs of clients and their higher objectives to solve problems where not all the information is readily available.

Key Responsibilities of Role

• Review and sense check business requirements and design documents

• Create and manage comprehensive test documentation, such as test cases and checklists, covering various functionalities, user stories and workflows

• Test complex applications, with complex business logic, to meet specifications required by client

• Identify, document and track software defects through the testing process

• Maintain training manuals for applications

• Manage and document the system change processes

• Operate within both agile and waterfall delivery methodologies

• Research and develop the company’s QA process

• Investigate and document better practices/alternative solutions that could be used in future development

Requirements

• Software orientated 3/4-year degree or equivalent (e.g. B. Com Information Systems or B.Sc Comp Sci or Elec Eng) is advantageous

• Minimum 2 - 3 years QA experience

• Experience with manual testing (automation is advantageous)

• Excellent troubleshooting skills

• Strong attention to detail

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Comfortable with updating and communicating directly with business stakeholders

• Ability to work to deadlines and manage expectations

• Proven TSQL experience (highly desirable)

• Experience with Salesforce is advantageous
