Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement public relations and communication strategies aligned with the organization's mission and goals.
• Write and edit press releases, newsletters, website content, social media posts, and annual reports.
• Manage media inquiries and build relationships with local and national media outlets.
• Organize and promote press conferences, community events, and awareness campaigns.
• Monitor media coverage and social media sentiment related to the organization.
• Assist in developing crisis communication plans and responses.
• Create engaging content that highlights the organization's impact and success stories.
• Maintain and update the organization's website and social media profiles.
• Coordinate internal communications to ensure staff are informed and engaged.
• Support fundraising and donor relations through targeted communication efforts.
• Represent the organization at community events and public forums.
• Track communication metrics and prepare regular reports on PR and communication activities.
• Ensure all communications are consistent with brand messaging and organizational values.
• Collaborate with program staff to gather information and develop compelling narratives.
• Stay abreast of best practices in non-profit communications and public relations.
