This role is crucial for enhancing the organization's public profile, engaging stakeholders, and effectively communicating its mission and impact. You will be responsible for managing media relations, creating compelling communication materials, and overseeing internal and external communication channels. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement public relations and communication strategies aligned with the organization's mission and goals.
• Write and edit press releases, newsletters, website content, social media posts, and annual reports.
• Manage media inquiries and build relationships with local and national media outlets.
• Organize and promote press conferences, community events, and awareness campaigns.
• Monitor media coverage and social media sentiment related to the organization.
• Assist in developing crisis communication plans and responses.
• Create engaging content that highlights the organization's impact and success stories.
• Maintain and update the organization's website and social media profiles.
• Coordinate internal communications to ensure staff are informed and engaged.
• Support fundraising and donor relations through targeted communication efforts.
• Represent the organization at community events and public forums.
• Track communication metrics and prepare regular reports on PR and communication activities.
• Ensure all communications are consistent with brand messaging and organizational values.
• Collaborate with program staff to gather information and develop compelling narratives.
• Stay abreast of best practices in non-profit communications and public relations.
