Job summary

The World Health Organization is seeking a DATA MANAGER - SSA to support the NDOH and WCO SI Unit in advanced data analysis and management across HIV, TB, STIs, Viral Hepatitis, and related programmes in South Africa.

The role focuses on dashboards, data quality, and monitoring across national to provincial levels, contributing to surveillance, outbreak response and strategic information initiatives within WHO-led projects.

Qualifications

• Advanced university degree (master’s level) in Epidemiology and Biostatistics.
• Specialized training in epidemiology and data management.
• At least five (5) years of international/national experience in data management for HIV, TB, STIs, Viral Hepatitis and related programmes.

Responsibilities

• Develop and review M&E tools.
• Create electronic data collection and reporting tools.
• Review data collection tools for better decision-making.
• Data analysis and dashboards visualization.
• Provide epidemiological and monitoring support for HIV/TB programmes.
• Develop monitoring framework, indicators and data tools for WHO-led activities.
• Track HIV self-testing kit supply chain and uptake at sites.
• Produce timely quarterly reports and analytic products.
