Job summary

The World Health Organization Country Office in South Africa seeks a Data Manager to support HIV, TB, STIs, Viral Hepatitis, and EPR programs. The role will enhance data collection, analysis, and reporting to inform public health decisions.

The successful candidate will develop M&E tools, dashboards, and data tools, provide epidemiological support, and contribute to surveillance and outbreak response efforts within the AF_ZAF South Africa unit.

Qualifications

• Five or more years of international and/or national professional experience in data management for HIV, TB, STIs, Viral Hepatitis, and EPR programs.
• Experience in disease surveillance, outbreak response, and pandemic preparedness.
• Experience with data collation and analysis at district, provincial, and national levels, and with health departments.

Responsibilities

• Support strategic information, data analysis, assessments, and data management for HIV, STIs, Viral Hepatitis, and TB programs.
• Develop and review M&E tools, create electronic data collection and reporting tools, and optimize data collection instruments.
• Manage databases, perform data analysis, and create dashboards for visualization.
• Provide epidemiological and M&E support for HIV/TB programs and contribute to UN Joint Team projects with monitoring frameworks.
