Qualifications

• LLB degree required.
• Admitted Attorney of the High Court.
• 3-5 years' post-admission experience.
• Strong experience in contract drafting, negotiation and legal vetting.
• Extensive knowledge of legal research, litigation processes and risk management.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organisational skills with exceptional attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Provide legal advice on PFMA, MFMA, contracts, corporate governance and legislation.
• Draft, review and vet legal agreements and opinions.
• Conduct legal research and provide sound legal opinions.
• Identify legal risks and develop mitigation strategies.
• Provide legal support on labour-related matters where required.
• Facilitate policy reviews and ensure statutory compliance.
• Maintain legal risk registers and institutional legal records.
• Promote legal awareness by preparing legal guidance and information-sharing articles.
