Job summary

HWSETA Head Office, Bedfordview, is seeking a Provider Accreditation Officer to implement ETQA and QCTO accreditation requirements for SDPs, assessment centres and workplaces. You will support stakeholder capacity building, monitor compliance and facilitate accreditation processes across South Africa.

The role requires a relevant degree, ETQA knowledge and 4–6 years of provider accreditation experience, with SETA exposure preferred. A Code 08 license (own vehicle advantageous) is recommended.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in education, Training and Development or related field.
• ODETDP qualification advantageous.
• SETA registration as Assessor and Moderator advantageous.
• Valid Code 08 Driver's License; Own vehicle advantageous.
• 4–6 years’ experience in Provider Accreditation environment.
• Experience within a SETA environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Implementing ETQA and QCTO policy requirements relating to provider accreditation.
• Conducting desktop evaluations, site visits, and evaluations for SDPs and assessment centres.
• Conducting workplace approval evaluations and monitoring visits of HWSETA-funded employers.
• Monitoring training implementation and ensuring QA standards compliance.
• Reviewing compliance and quality standards of training providers and employers for authorisation.
• Coordinating evaluation and validation of learning programmes and material.
• Providing guidance on QA processes and learning material development.
• Planning and facilitating capacity-building workshops and QA initiatives nationwide.
• Supporting stakeholder engagement, advocacy, and ETQA enablement processes.
• Assisting with reporting on provider accreditation performance, compliance and APP targets.

Salary Range: R592 900 - R746 153 per annum (Total Cost to Company)

About the Role

HWSETA is seeking to appoint a suitably qualified and experienced Provider Accreditation Officer to implement ETQA and QCTO provider accreditation requirements, support stakeholder capacity building, monitor compliance and quality standards, and facilitate accreditation processes for Skills Development Providers (SDPs), assessment centres, and workplaces.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Implementing ETQA and QCTO policy requirements relating to provider accreditation.
• Conducting desktop evaluations, site visits, and virtual/onsite evaluations for Skills Development Providers (SDPs) and assessment centres.
• Conducting workplace approval evaluations and monitoring visits of employers funded by HWSETA.
• Monitoring training implementation and ensuring compliance with quality assurance standards.
• Reviewing compliance and quality standards of training providers and employers for authorisation.
• Coordinating the evaluation and validation of learning programmes and learning material.
• Providing guidance and support to stakeholders regarding quality management systems and learning material development.
• Planning and facilitating capacity-building workshops and quality assurance initiatives nationally.
• Supporting stakeholder engagement, advocacy, and ETQA enablement processes.
• Assisting with reporting on provider accreditation performance, compliance, and APP targets.

Minimum Requirements

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in education, Training and Development, or a related sector field.
• ODETDP qualification will be an added advantage.
• SETA registration as an Assessor and Moderator will be an added advantage.
• Valid Code 08 Driver's License.
• Own vehicle will be advantageous.

Experience

• 4-6 years’ relevant experience within a Provider Accreditation environment, preferably within an ETQA Division, together with other relevant experience.
• Experience within a Seta environment is preferred.
