Job summary

SA Metal Group (Pty) Ltd invites applications for a Training Facilitator/Assessor/Moderator to join the Human Resources team in a permanent role. The successful candidate will certify/accredit and present listed unit standards, ensure learners are trained, assessed and moderated, and provide administrative support through the learner registration process.

The role requires registration as Assessor/Moderator with TETA/CETA/HW SETA and ETDP SETA certification, plus experience with machinery

Qualifications

• Grade 12 certificate required
• At least 5 years of relevant training experience
• Registered as Assessor and Moderator with TETA, CETA and HW SETA
• Certified Facilitator, Assessor and Moderator with ETDP SETA
• Fully knowledgeable on driven machinery regulations
• Proficient in MS Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint

Responsibilities

• Prepare lesson plans and ensure training materials and equipment are ready
• Facilitate, assess and moderate programmes per SA Metal and SAQA practices
• Provide administrative support and assist with learner registration
• Ensure delegates understand assessment questions and complete assessments
• Create a positive learning environment that motivates delegates
• Adhere to Occupational Health & Safety regulations and National Code of Practice

Duties & responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following:

• Prepare lesson plans and ensure that the appropriate training material, stationery and equipment is available and in excellent working order before the Training Session commences
• Facilitate, assess and moderate programmes according to SA Metal and SAQA best practices
• Provide administrative support and assist with learner registration process
• Ensure that delegates understand assessment questions and how to complete the assessment
• Create and nurture a positive learning environment that stimulates learning and motivates delegates
• Adhere strictly to all Occupational Health & Safety regulations as well regulations listed on National Code of Practice.

Qualifying Criteria

• Grade 12 certificate
• At least 5 years of relevant experience
• Registered as Assessor and Moderator with TETA, CETA and HW SETA
• Certified Facilitator, Assessor and Moderator with ETDP SETA
• Fully knowledgably on driven machinery regulations
• Relevant tertiary qualification (advantageous)
• Computer literacy -- proficient in MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook, MS PowerPoint
