A well-established hospitality and holiday rental operation on the West Coast is seeking an experienced and commercially minded Property / General Manager to oversee estate operations, facilities management, development projects, financial performance, and overall business management. This exciting leadership opportunity is ideal for a candidate with strong property, estate, and hospitality management experience who can successfully balance operational excellence with commercial growth.
The successful candidate will assume responsibility for the overall management of a boutique estate and an established collection of privately owned holiday rental homes. While an existing Operations Manager oversees housekeeping and guest experience functions, this role will focus heavily on estate management, maintenance oversight, contractor coordination, capital projects, budgeting, financial reporting, and long-term asset management. A strong understanding of facilities management, project planning, and profitability management will therefore be essential.
Candidates should be capable of managing multiple priorities while ensuring the estate remains well maintained, financially sustainable, and aligned with luxury hospitality standards. The role requires excellent leadership skills, strong financial acumen, and the ability to build positive relationships with property owners, service providers, contractors, and internal teams. Experience managing budgets, overseeing maintenance programmes, and driving operational improvements will be highly advantageous.
This position offers the opportunity to play a key role in the strategic growth and ongoing success of a unique coastal hospitality operation. Applicants must be able to secure their own accommodation in Paternoster or surrounding areas, including St Helena Bay or Vredenburg. If you are an organised, hands-on leader who thrives in a dynamic hospitality environment, this could be the ideal next step in your career.
