About the Role

Our client, a leading manufacturing and distribution company, is seeking a dynamic Project Manager to lead initiatives focused on optimizing their supply chain and logistics operations. Based in Mahikeng, North West, this role is critical for enhancing efficiency, reducing costs, and improving the overall flow of goods from production to the end customer. You will be responsible for managing projects involving warehouse improvements, transportation network redesign, inventory management systems, and technology integration. This position requires a strong analytical mind, a deep understanding of supply chain principles, and excellent leadership skills to drive significant operational improvements.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the planning, execution, and successful completion of supply chain and logistics projects.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and cost reduction within the supply chain.
• Develop detailed project plans, including scope, timelines, budgets, and resource requirements.
• Collaborate with internal teams (operations, procurement, IT) and external partners (carriers, suppliers).
• Manage project risks and issues, implementing effective mitigation strategies.

Requirements

• Proven track record of managing projects that have improved efficiency, reduced costs, or enhanced service levels in supply chain operations.
• Strong understanding of supply chain principles, including inventory management, warehousing, transportation, and procurement.
• Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies is highly desirable.
• Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Asana) and supply chain management tools.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Strong communication and leadership abilities, with experience managing diverse teams.
