Placements24 is seeking a Project Manager for our manufacturing client in Klerksdorp, North West. You will lead cross-functional teams, drive Lean Six Sigma projects and deliver process improvements from concept to completion.

The role requires a strong analytical mindset, change-management skills, and a proven track record in manufacturing environments. You will develop plans, monitor KPIs and ensure SOPs are documented and implemented.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial, Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering or related field.
• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification.
• Minimum 5 years of project management experience with focus on process improvement or Lean Six Sigma.
• Manufacturing sector experience; North West province or similar industrial hub preferred.
• Strong analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency with process mapping tools and PM software.
• Experience with data analysis and statistical software.
• Independent, proactive problem-solver capable of driving projects to completion.

Responsibilities

• Lead multiple process improvement projects, aiming to enhance efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness at the Klerksdorp plant.
• Apply Lean Six Sigma methodologies to identify bottlenecks and implement sustainable solutions.
• Develop detailed project plans with scope, objectives, deliverables, timelines, and resources.
• Facilitate cross-functional collaboration across production, engineering, quality, and supply chain.
• Conduct process analysis, data collection, and root-cause analysis to identify improvements.
• Develop change management strategies to ensure adoption of new processes.
• Monitor progress using KPIs and report findings to senior management.
• Manage risks and issues with mitigation plans.

• Facilitate cross-functional team collaboration, including production, engineering, quality assurance, and supply chain departments.
• Conduct process analysis, data collection, and root cause analysis to identify areas for improvement.
• Develop and implement change management strategies to ensure successful adoption of new processes and systems.
• Monitor project progress, track key performance indicators (KPIs), and report findings and recommendations to senior management.
• Manage project risks and issues, implementing appropriate mitigation strategies.
• Ensure documentation of new processes and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement throughout the organization.

Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Industrial, Mechanical, or Manufacturing), Operations Management, or a related discipline.
• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification is essential.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management, with a strong focus on process improvement, operational excellence, or Lean Six Sigma initiatives.
• Proven experience working within the manufacturing sector, ideally in the North West province or similar industrial hubs.
• Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage change effectively.
