Job summary

Momentum in Centurion seeks a Project Manager to oversee end-to-end delivery of IT projects, from initiation to close-out, ensuring business objectives and governance requirements are met. You will build project plans, manage risks and dependencies, coordinate with stakeholders, and report on progress while adapting to changing priorities in a regulated environment.

Experience with Agile/SAFe, cloud, data management and change management is beneficial; proficiency with MS Project and MS Office

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelors Degree in Project Management (or equivalent).
• Post graduate qualifications preferred.
• Certifications such as PMP, PMI-ACP, Scrum Master, SAFe or ITIL required.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to and coordinate feasibility investigations for projects supporting business objectives.
• Define project scope with team and stakeholders to align with objectives.
• Develop project plans identifying activities and timelines to deliver objectives.
• Identify and manage dependencies across projects and stakeholders.
• Identify risks and work with stakeholders to mitigate them.
• Report on progress, risks and issues per reporting requirements.
• Sign-off on project plans, resources, budgets and expenditures.

Role Purpose

Manage the overall delivery of projects,from initiation to close-out, to meet the stated business objectives and benefits, in compliance with all relevant Governance, Risk and Audit requirements.

Requirements

Education

• Diploma or Bachelors Degree in Project Management
• Post Graduate qualifications (preffered)
• Relevant Certifications such as PMP,PRICE2, PMI-ACP, Scrum Master, SAFe,ITIL required

Experience

• 3 - 5 years experience managing end-to-end delivery of IT projects, preferably within the financial services in insurance environment
• Experience managing projects using Agile, Scrum, SAFe and hybrid methods,with the ability ro pivot as per project requires
• Ability to translate technical requirements into business value and vice versa, ensuring mutual understanding and alignment.
• Experience with people change, communication planning, and embedding change across diversestakeholder groups.
• Experience in projects involvingautomation, cloud adoption, datamanagement, effienceies andoptimisation (beneficial)
• Proficiency in tools such as MicroSoft Prohjects and MicroSoft Office Suite
• Ability to thrive in high-pressure,regulated environments and adapt torapidly evolving business and techlandscapes.

Duties and Responsibilities

INTERNAL PROCESS

• Contribute to and coordinate theinvestigation of the feasibility of projectsthat support the achievement of business objectives.
• Contribute to the development ofrelevant business cases for approval. Determine and document the projectscope in collaboration with team and stakeholders, to ensure projectdeliverables and expectations are clearly articulated and aligned to business objectives.
• Determine and document project objectives and measures of success which will be used to evaluate project effectiveness.
• In collaboration with stakeholders develop project plans which identify andsequence the activities and timelinesneeded to successfully deliver the project objectives.
• Identify and manage dependencies between projects across the business.
• Identify risks and collaborate with stakeholders to manage the mitigation of risks.
• Liaise with various stakeholders toreport on overall project progress, risks,issues as per Business Area-specific reporting requirements.
• Liaise with various stakeholders to sign-off minutes for project meetings andworkshops.
• Analyse project-related data (issue logs,risk logs, action logs) to enable informed decision-making.
• Oversee and sign-off project plans,resource schedules, work hours,budgets and expenditures.
• Manage the project close out and the assessment of project effectiveness inorder to make recommendations to improve project impact.
• Recommend the implementation of initiatives that address project shortcomings or areas of concern.
