PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Manage the scope through a formal change-control process (including evolving scope/backlogs in agile or hybrid delivery), ensuring the consequences of changes are understood by all stakeholders.
- Authorise expenditure and ensure accurate cost control, budget and variance reporting, using digital financial/PM tools and real-time dashboards; track return on investment and benefits realisation.
- Manage effective communication in line with documented and approved communication plans, across in-person, hybrid and virtual stakeholders, using modern collaboration platforms (e.g. Teams, Slack).
- Manage projects and programmes in accordance with the documented and agreed plan, covering the full range of project management knowledge/performance domains, integrating agile ceremonies where relevant.
- Facilitate and manage overall compliance to all policies and procedures (finance, HR, procurement, data privacy/POPIA, cybersecurity and ESG/sustainability requirements).
- Through consultation and influencing, establish correctly resourced, well-functioning, diverse and inclusive teams — including the effective management of remote/distributed staff and vendor resources.
- Oversee and approve overall project/programme plans, ensure regular updates via real-time dashboards, and document any variations.
- Proactively identify and manage project risk, including cybersecurity, data privacy and third-party/vendor risk, maintaining an up-to-date risk register.

MINIMUM SKILL, KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor's degree in Project Management or a related field, plus a postgraduate qualification and relevant specialist certification (e.g. PMP, PRINCE2, MSP, or an Agile/SAFe certification).
- A minimum of 8 years' experience, with at least 6 years' specific experience in the field of expertise, including delivery of hybrid/agile and digital-transformation projects.
- Proficiency with modern project management and reporting tools (e.g. MS Project, Jira, Smartsheet, Power BI) and MINIMUM SKILL, KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE familiarity with AI-assisted planning/forecasting tools.
- Working knowledge of cybersecurity, data privacy (e.g. POPIA/GDPR) and ESG/sustainability considerations as they apply to project delivery.
- Experience managing ICT/cloud vendor relationships and third-party risk.
- Strong interpersonal and stakeholder-management skills, with demonstrated ability to lead and influence diverse, distributed and hybrid/remote teams and interface effectively with clients at all levels.
