PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
  • Manage the scope through a formal change-control process (including evolving scope/backlogs in agile or hybrid delivery), ensuring the consequences of changes are understood by all stakeholders.
  • Authorise expenditure and ensure accurate cost control, budget and variance reporting, using digital financial/PM tools and real-time dashboards; track return on investment and benefits realisation.
  • Manage effective communication in line with documented and approved communication plans, across in-person, hybrid and virtual stakeholders, using modern collaboration platforms (e.g. Teams, Slack).
  • Manage projects and programmes in accordance with the documented and agreed plan, covering the full range of project management knowledge/performance domains, integrating agile ceremonies where relevant.
  • Facilitate and manage overall compliance to all policies and procedures (finance, HR, procurement, data privacy/POPIA, cybersecurity and ESG/sustainability requirements).
  • Through consultation and influencing, establish correctly resourced, well-functioning, diverse and inclusive teams — including the effective management of remote/distributed staff and vendor resources.
  • Oversee and approve overall project/programme plans, ensure regular updates via real-time dashboards, and document any variations.
  • Proactively identify and manage project risk, including cybersecurity, data privacy and third-party/vendor risk, maintaining an up-to-date risk register.
  • Champion benefits realisation and post-implementation review to ensure project outcomes translate into sustainable business value.
