About the Role

Our client, a multinational technology services firm, is seeking an experienced IT Infrastructure Rollout Project Manager to join their team. This role will be responsible for planning and executing large-scale IT infrastructure deployments across various client sites. You will manage all aspects of the project lifecycle, from initial assessment and planning to deployment, testing, and handover. The successful candidate will possess strong technical acumen, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to manage diverse teams in a dynamic environment. This hybrid role offers a blend of on-site coordination and remote strategic planning.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop detailed project plans for IT infrastructure rollouts, including scope, timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
• Manage the end-to-end execution of infrastructure projects, including network upgrades, server deployments, and hardware installations.
• Coordinate with internal IT teams, external vendors, and client stakeholders to ensure seamless project delivery.
• Oversee the procurement, installation, and configuration of IT hardware and software.
• Ensure all projects adhere to IT security policies, industry standards, and best practices.

Requirements

• Strong understanding of networking concepts, server technologies, cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure), and cybersecurity principles.
• Experience with hardware procurement and vendor management.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Proficiency in project management tools such as MS Project, Jira, or similar.
• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
• PMP, PRINCE2, or ITIL certification is highly desirable.
• Experience working within the Benoni, Gauteng region or managing projects for businesses located there is a plus.
• Ability to adapt to a hybrid work model, balancing remote work with essential on-site project activities.
