Job summary

Intembeko Investment Administrators is seeking a dedicated Project Manager to oversee complex projects within the Business Solutions area of our transfer agency. You will drive delivery, coordinate teams and ensure projects meet scope, time and budget.

The role requires strong leadership, ownership and teamwork, with excellent communication and a solid understanding of the SDLC. Prior experience in retail investment domains is highly valued.

Qualifications

• 5+ years BA / Scrum Master / Project Management / Delivery experience.
• Demonstrated experience in managing complex, large-scale projects in a regulated environment.
• Knowledge of Retail Investment domain.
• Relevant tertiary qualification (Commerce, Finance, Information Systems or related) – advantageous.
• Project Management certification.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end project life cycles for transfer agency initiatives (system implementations, client onboarding, process improvements, compliance upgrades).
• Define project scopes, objectives and deliverables aligned with business goals and regulatory requirements.
• Implement and maintain delivery frameworks with internal teams and outsourced IT partner.
• Manage delivery through SDLC including client implementation of changes.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define requirements and milestones.
• Create detailed project plans with timelines, budgets and resource allocation.
• Ensure smooth execution from initiation to completion and remove obstacles for the team.
• Monitor progress and adjust plans to meet deadlines and client expectations.
• Manage risk and mitigate project disruptions.
• Analyze processes and develop strategies for delivery optimization.

The role involves driving project delivery, ensuring alignment with business goals, co-ordinating project teams, and ensuring projects are completed within scope, time, and budget. They will be responsible for creating and embedding the necessary structure for effective project delivery, removing blockers, and ensuring delivery within agreed timeframes.

Purpose of the job

The role involves driving project delivery, ensuring alignment with business goals, co-ordinating project teams, and ensuring projects are completed within scope, time, and budget. They will be responsible for creating and embedding the necessary structure for effective project delivery, removing blockers, and ensuring delivery within agreed timeframes.

The main tasks of the project manager include managing projects, addressing reliability issues, tracking project metrics, managing budgets and stakeholder liaison and ultimate responsibility for meeting project delivery dates with the level of quality required. To be a successful Project Manager in our environment, you should demonstrate strong leadership, ownership and teamworking skills. You should demonstrate excellent communication skills, have a deep curiosity and eventual competence around the system SDLC.

Main Duties And Responsibilities

Project Management

• Lead and manage end-to-end project life cycles for transfer agency-related initiatives (e.g., system implementations, Client Onboarding, process improvements, compliance upgrades).
• Develop and define project scopes, objectives, and deliverables aligned with business goals and financial regulatory requirements.
• Implementation and maintenance of effective delivery frameworks internally and with our outsourced IT service partner
• Managing the delivery through the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) including client implementation of the change
• Collaborate with stakeholders (internal teams, external vendors, and clients) to define and refine project requirements and key milestones.
• Create detailed project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
• Ensure smooth execution of projects from initiation to completion, while managing day-to-day operations and removing obstacles for the project team.
• Monitor project progress and adjust plans as necessary to meet deadlines, budgets, and client expectations.
• Manage risk, identify potential issues, and propose solutions to minimize project disruptions.
• Analyzing third-party as well as internal processes, and creating strategies for project delivery optimization

• Timely and accurate project reporting.
• Manage and negotiate project expectations with stakeholders, ensuring that all expectations are clearly defined and met.
• Oversee project budgets and ensure efficient allocation of resources, ensuring projects are completed within financial constraints.
  
  

Ideal Experience

• Familiarity with asset management systems and technologies used within transfer agencies.
