Job summary

Entyce Beverages Durban Tea Factory, part of AVI Limited, seeks a Project Coordinator on a fixed-term 6-month contract in Durban, KwaZulu-Natal.

Assist Projects Department with planning and implementing multiple capital projects in a manufacturing environment to drive capacity-enabling changes in the plants. A proven track record of handling multiple plant equipment projects is essential.

Line Manager: Site Project Manager. Join a team delivering key improvements across the plant.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years’ FMCG experience, preferably in food manufacturing.
• Trade-tested Millwright or Fitter and Turner with minimum N4.
• Forklift license advantageous.
• Willingness to overtime and weekends.
• Strong mechanical and electrical fitting skills.
• Experience with equipment installation.
• MS Office; MS Projects and AutoCAD experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Liaise with suppliers concerning design and manufacture of equipment.
• Installation of Capital Projects.
• Ensure project installations meet requirements and standards for National Brands Limited.
• Management of Contractors and internal resources.
• Project progress reporting.
• Coordinate Safety, Health and Environment in the department.
• Assist in preparation of capital vote applications.

Key Performance Areas:

• Liaise with suppliers concerning the design and manufacture of equipment.
• Installation of Capital Projects.
• Ensure project installations meet the proposed requirements and standards for National Brands Limited.
• Management of Contractors and internal resources.
• Project progress reporting.
• Co-ordinate the activities associated with the management of Safety, Health and Environment (SHE) in the department.
• Assist in the preparation of capital vote applications.

Minimum Requirements

Experience:

• 5 to 10 years’ experience in FMCG.
• Experience in Food Manufacturing advantageous.

Qualifications

• Trade-tested Millwright/Fitter and Turner with a minimum of N4 qualification.
• Forklift license will be advantageous.

Additional Requirements

• Willingness to work overtime and weekends.
• Strong technical attributes in Mechanical and Electrical Fitting.
• Equipment installation experience.
• MS Office, MS Projects, AutoCAD will be an advantage.
