Job summary

Clicks Group in Cape Town seeks a project co-ordinator to drive category projects in a fast-paced FMCG/retail environment. The role focuses on coordinating resources, ensuring fixtures and openings proceed on time, and delivering regular updates to executives.

The person will manage reporting, timelines, and communications with Operations and suppliers, supporting successful store openings and revamps while maintaining chain store image integrity.

Qualifications

• 2 yrs experience in Merchandise.
• Experience in project administration/co-ordination role.
• Proficiency in MS Office and Excel.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate projects aligned to the category operating plan.
• Ensure fixtures are available for monthly sign-off by the design forum by liaising with the supplier to deliver on time.
• Provide regular weekly and monthly updates to the executive relating to project implementation, timelines and to identify potential risks and opportunities and to prepare all relevant information after each project in order for the Project Manager to conduct the project post-implementation review.
• Draw weekly reports in order to track sales performance relating to projects and provide feedback to their category teams on trends and whether the targets are being met.
• Coordinate the annual training calendar and communicate to all relevant stakeholders.
• Annually update the chain store image manual for Personal Care and Baby to ensure the maintenance of chain store image.
• Communicate all new store openings and revamps to relevant stakeholders (Operations and suppliers) to ensure timeous delivery of all fixtures and fittings for a successful store opening.
• Manage commissions to ensure accurate and timeous payment.
• Attend the bi-weekly Call-to-Action teleconference and to provide feedback on all queries to the Regional Sales Managers (RSMs) and assist with any store queries.
• Communicate all weekly store communications via the portal to ensure operations are aware of all product related launches and updates.
