Job summary

FASSET is seeking a Programme Manager to provide leadership and oversight of the projects and quality assurance department, ensuring effective planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of FASSET-funded programmes and projects.

The role requires extensive experience in project management, financial oversight, and auditing, with a preference for exposure to the education, training and skills development environment and the public sector.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree NQF Level 7 in Finance / Accounting / Internal Auditing / Business Administration / Project Management preferred
• MBA or Honours degree will be an added advantage
• CA(SA) qualification or other relevant professional designation in accounting; experience in public sector preferred
• 7 years relevant project management experience with 5 years supervisory level

Responsibilities

• Conduct and oversee project monitoring activities, including desktop reviews and site visits, and ensure issues are addressed and resolved.
• Review and analyse monthly, quarterly and annual programme and project reports and provide recommendations to improve performance.
• Manage service providers and implementing partners and monitor their performance against approved project plans, SLAs, deliverables and budgets.
• Ensure that project documentation, records and supporting evidence are maintained and audit-ready.
• Manage and monitor departmental budgets and commitment schedules, and financial forecasting.
