Responsibilities

• Safely operate a Heavy Goods Vehicle (HGV) of Class 1 classification, adhering to all traffic laws and company policies.
• Transport goods and materials from origin points to designated destinations across various locations.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure roadworthiness and report any defects promptly.
• Maintain accurate delivery logs, trip sheets, and other required documentation.
• Ensure the secure loading and unloading of cargo, verifying consignment notes and delivery manifests.
• Provide excellent customer service during delivery and pick-up operations.
• Adhere to strict schedules and deadlines while maintaining a high standard of safety and efficiency.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers, clients, and other stakeholders regarding delivery status and any potential issues.
• Comply with all regulations regarding driver hours and rest periods.
