Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years management of production processes required.

Responsibilities

• Ensure correct line set-ups and changeovers for production.
• Assist with planning and scheduling production orders.
• Provide technical repairs and support during breakdowns.
• Maintain optimum utilization of manufacturing equipment.
• Maintain line wear parts stock and support Lean projects and installations.
• Input order and parameter specifications into MES in the factory.

Job description

Supervision/Management: Technical Extrusion Specialist

Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities

• Responsible for quick, correct line set-ups and changeovers
• Perform tool changes and set-ups on all manufacturing equipment – ensure procedures are also performed correctly and effectively by all extrusion staff
• Responsible for the optimum utilization of the machines and manufacturing processes to ensure the best possible Performance, Availability and Scrap percentages (OEE)
• Responsible for optimum setup of feeders, drillers, coilers and training of supervisors on fine adjustments
• Order and parameter specifications inputs on MES in the factory
• Assist with planning and scheduling of production orders
• Assist with breakdowns and technical repairs of lines and ensure that equipment is in good working order
• Assist with maintenance and Lean projects and installations
• Responsible for line wear parts replacement stock keeping and replenishment (e.g. rollers, tools, rings, etc.)

Employment conditions

• Working hours: Monday to Thursday 08H00 -17H00, and Friday 08H00-16H00
• Perform standby duties for breakdowns and production line support
• Permanent employment, subject to probation period of three (3) months
