Job summary

Boardroom Appointments is seeking an Extrusion Production Supervisor in Cape Town to lead a 14-person team within the extrusion production department. You will coordinate daily operations, monitor quality, and drive improvements to meet production standards.

The ideal candidate has a Matric, a National Diploma in Engineering or related field, and at least 5 years in manufacturing with 3 years in supervision, plus familiarity with Syspro and ISO standards.

Qualifications

• Matric and National Diploma in Engineering or related.
• Knowledge of process improvement, lean manufacturing, budgeting and production standards.
• Minimum 5 years in manufacturing with at least 3 years in a supervisory role.
• Polymer extrusion process background is advantageous.
• Experience managing and executing projects.
• Experience with electrical, mechanical and pneumatic equipment and systems.
• Computer literacy with MRPP system experience (Syspro) preferred.
• Familiarity with ISO standards and systems.
• Strong leadership and employee relations skills.

Job purpose:

Streamline operational success by managing 14 personnel to ensure quality output within theproduction department. Control, coordinate, direct and develop all activities related to the Production Departments.

• Matric
• National Diploma in Engineering or related
• Knowledge of process improvement, lean manufacturing, managing budget and production standards
• Minimum of 5 years experience in a manufacturing environment of which a minimum of 3 years experience in a Supervisory role
• Polymer extrusion process background would be an advantage
• Experience in managing and executing projects

• Computer Literate (MRP system exp would be an advantage...e.g. Syspro)
