Job summary

AJ Personnel is seeking a Production Coordinator in Gauteng. Responsibilities include creating and updating production schedules, monitoring progress, and ensuring documentation and statuses are accurate. You will also track WIP, coordinate with Procurement, and support ERP releases to maintain routing and BOM accuracy.

The role covers material coordination, logistics liaison, and administrative reporting to support on-time delivery and KPI management within a manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Matric
• Diploma in Industrial Engineering, Production Management, or a related field (advantageous)
• 2+ Years experience in a production or planning environment
• Working knowledge of ERP systems (SAP preferred)
• Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and Outlook
• Valid drivers License

Responsibilities

• Assist with the creation and updating of production schedules based on available capacity and Customer deadlines
• Monitor production progress and highlight any delays or risks to the PPC Manager
• Update job statuses in the system and ensure proper documentation is maintained
• Follow up on outstanding work-in-progress (WIP) and ensure alignment with daily/weekly plans
• Track material availability and coordinate with Procurement to ensure timely delivery of long lead-time items
• Support the release of jobs in ERP systems (e.g., SAP), ensuring routing and BOM accuracy
• Assist in managing and updating production data, sales orders, and job cards
• Liaise with Logistics and Suppliers to follow up on deliveries and collections
• Coordinate with Warehouse and dispatch teams to ensure jobs are ready for delivery as planned
• Prepare and update daily, weekly, and monthly PPC reports for internal meetings
• Assist in monitoring KPIs such as on-time delivery, production output, and material availability
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and assist with basic time studies or layout updates when required
