Job summary

Primeserv Denverdraft is seeking a production planning professional to schedule and monitor customer orders from sales order loading to invoicing, ensuring daily release to the production schedule and meeting deadlines.

You will provide data to manufacturing to monitor service levels and priorities, while communicating potential bottlenecks with line leaders and expediting procurement as needed. This role requires strong SAP and MS 365 proficiency.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 or equivalent required.
• Diploma or degree in Operations Management or Industrial Engineering preferred.
• 5 years’ experience in pump manufacturing and production planning.

Responsibilities

• Schedule and monitor customer orders from loading to invoicing.
• Ensure timely release of jobs to production daily and on schedule.
• Provide data to monitor service levels and priorities across manufacturing.
• Monitor capacity with line leaders and alert of bottlenecks.
• Expedite procurement activities and resolve material shortages.
• Inform internal customers of progress and delays.
• Maintain standard and non-standard routings; comply with policies.

Job description

Purpose of Role

Ensure timely release of jobs in line with production schedules while providing data for service level monitoring and capacity planning. Schedule work, expedite materials, and manage non-standard routings to meet operational requirements. Identify and advise on bottlenecks and delays, maintaining clear communication across departments. Perform additional duties as required. In addition to these functions, the incumbent is required to carry out such other duties as may be reasonably required.

Key Accountabilities

• Schedule and monitor customer orders from when the sales order is loaded to completion and invoicing the order.
• Ensure jobs are released to the production schedule daily, on time, and in accordance with set deadlines.
• Advise and provide data to manufacturing departments to monitor service levels and priorities.
• Monitor capacity in conjunction with line leaders.
• Advise the Planning Manager of any major bottlenecks and possible unforeseen delays in production.
• Expedite procurement activities, production processes, and resolve material shortages.
• Create and maintain standard and non-standard routings as required.
• Inform internal customers on order progress, possible delays and non-conformances
• Comply with and enforce all the Client’s policies and procedures.

Education

• Grade 12 or equivalent.
• Diploma or degree in Operations Management or Industrial Engineering.

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in pump manufacturing and production planning.
• SAP and MS 365
