Job summary

Eskom Holdings SOC Ltd in Gauteng seeks a seasoned manager to provide technical leadership for production resources in the Transformer and Switchgear Services unit. You will guide maintenance, repair and redesign efforts for transformers, ensuring adherence to SHEQ and company policies.

The role demands strong leadership, strategic thinking and excellent stakeholder communication to drive safe and efficient operations in a high-hazard environment.

Qualifications

• B Tech or equivalent in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering.
• Management Certificate (MAP, MDP) will be an added advantage.
• 5 years Management experience in a repair and Maintenance Environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership, direction and coordination for production resources and activities.
• Oversee design, repair and maintenance of transformers and related components.
• Ensure compliance with policies, procedures, PQP and SHEQ documentation relevant to responsibilities.
• Communicate changes to engineering activities and project plans to departments.
• Investigate equipment failures and unsafe incidents and propose corrective actions.
• Develop strategies to mitigate repeated problems and improve service delivery.
