Skills:

• Ability to communicate effectively with facts and figures, along with the ability to influence, persuade, and negotiate, strong communication skills, and be able to explain policies, procedures, and new information to employees in a method in which they can understand. Stay abreast of current events in the technology industry and convey this information to subordinates. Must also have effective writing skills, leadership, organisational, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Mechanical Services Manager also requires negotiation skills and an understanding of basic accounting. He/she must also have strong interpersonal skills, work collaboratively with diverse multiple stakeholders, including other production departments., Engineering, Procurement, Stores, Accounting, Project Managers, Site Maintenance team, support services, etc.

Knowledge:

• Knowledge of carrying out and doing performance & development reviews, sound technical knowledge of power generation equipment and machinery, familiar with basic safety rules applicable in a workshop and financial reports, Ability to prioritise, plan and organize work, Ability to work as part of a team, the ability to work well under pressure and within a pressurised environment.
