Placements24 is seeking a senior Production Manager in Cape Town to lead all production operations with a focus on lean manufacturing, safety, and continuous improvement. You will drive schedules, mentor teams, manage budgets, and partner with quality control, maintenance and supply chain to meet demanding targets.

The ideal candidate has a degree in Industrial Engineering or Operations Management, 7+ years of experience in manufacturing, and a proven track record of implementing Lean/Six Sigma

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or Operations Management.
• 7+ years of progressive production management experience in manufacturing.
• Expertise in lean manufacturing and Six Sigma.
• Experience leading large production teams.
• Strong production planning, scheduling and inventory control.
• Excellent leadership and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficient with production management software and ERP systems.
• Ability to analyze complex data and make informed decisions.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations in manufacturing.
• Familiarity with the Western Cape industrial environment.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in production management within a manufacturing environment.
• Demonstrated expertise in lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies.
• Proven experience in managing large production teams and fostering a positive work environment.
• Strong understanding of production planning, scheduling, and inventory control.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in production management software and ERP systems.
