Placements24 is recruiting a Senior Production Line Supervisor for a manufacturing facility in Pietermaritzburg, KwaZulu-Natal. You will oversee daily line operations, drive lean initiatives, ensure safety and quality, and mentor a production team to meet ambitious targets.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in supervision within manufacturing, strong leadership, and experience with lean methods (Six Sigma, Kaizen).

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years in a supervisory role within a manufacturing or production environment.
• Experience supervising teams of 15+ employees.
• Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and methods.
• Proven leadership, communication and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficiency with production management software and standard office applications.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate the activities of production staff on the shop floor.
• Monitor production processes to ensure adherence to quality standards and safety regulations.
• Implement and manage lean manufacturing techniques to optimize efficiency and reduce waste.
• Train, mentor, and evaluate the performance of production team members.
